We were booked at the Dorint by KLM because of a delayed connecting flight. We were pleasantly surprised, I can't stop commenting, "I like this hotel!" which later on changed to "I love this hotel!" The hotel decor was modern & clean. My husband describes the room as having an Ikea feel- clean lines, neat placement of guest's needs. The bathroom floor was heated, the middle part of the bathroom mirror was also heated, preventing it from fogging up after a steamy shower. The coffee maker & supplies and the ice bucket are in a pull out cabinet, so is the iron & board. There is a shoe polishing machine close to the elevators. The food at the bar was very good, considering that we were having dinner past midnight... And the staff at the bar were very friendly. I can't say enough about this hotel! We just came from Italy & stayed at 4-star hotels there, but our 6-hour stay at the Dorint was the most enjoyable of all.
I would have liked to be briefed on how to use the blank card keys. From swiping it in the elevator to get to your floor, to leaving it in the slot as we got in the room. All the lights went off in the room after a few minutes of being inside, until we found out about the slot ourselves. Imagine how guests who do not read English would have felt. We had a good laugh but I'm sure it can be a bit stressful for them.
